Support & information

CheeWish

A lovely home for wishes.

Keep gift ideas and things you love organised, with thoughtful sharing for family and friends.

Getting started

Quick answers.

Creating a list

Create a list for gifts, birthdays, Christmas or anything else you are looking forward to.

Adding wishes

Add the item, helpful notes, a price and a link so the people you share with know exactly what you mean.

Your records & sharing

Lists are stored in your iCloud account and stay private until you share one. Invitees can see only the list you share, and you can delete owned lists or leave shared lists from the app.

Privacy policy

Your wishes stay private.

About this policy

This policy applies to CheeWish, an iOS wishlist and gift-coordination app from the Chee Suite. CheeWish works without a developer-operated account, advertising or third-party analytics, and does not sell personal information.

Information you add

CheeWish stores the lists and wish details you choose to add, including names, emoji, colours, item titles, links, notes, prices, priorities and completion status. When sharing, it may also store your chosen shared display name, list participants and invitee purchase claims.

iCloud and local cache

Your lists are stored using Apple CloudKit in the iCloud account signed in on your device. A small cached copy may be stored locally for reliability and offline reading. Trial timing and app preferences may be stored in your device keychain, local settings and Apple's iCloud key-value store. CheeWish does not copy this information to a developer-operated database.

Sharing a list

Lists are private unless you choose to share one. Sharing creates an Apple iCloud share for that list's dedicated record zone. Invitees receive access to that list but not to your other lists. CheeWish lets the owner manage the list and wishes while invitees can view them and coordinate purchases.

Names and purchase coordination

Your chosen shared name and relevant participant details are visible to people in the shared list. Invitee purchase claims are shared with its other invitees and hidden from the owner's normal CheeWish interface to protect surprises. Because CloudKit permissions apply to the shared zone, this interface separation is not cryptographic secrecy from the Apple ID that owns the zone.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Apple Push Notification service may deliver a generic alert when a shared CloudKit database changes. CheeWish does not operate its own notification server. You can change notification permission in your device settings.

Trial and purchase

CheeWish includes a 28-day free trial. Continued access after the trial requires a one-time lifetime purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. CheeWish receives purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock or restore access, but does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Apple handles App Store purchase information under its own privacy terms.

Links to other websites

CheeWish lets you save links with wishes. If you choose to open a link, the destination website or app receives the request and handles information under its own privacy practices. CheeWish does not automatically visit saved links or send the rest of your list to those destinations.

Retention and deletion

Your records remain in iCloud until they are deleted or you leave a shared list. Deleting a wish removes that record. Deleting a list you own removes its CloudKit record zone for its participants, and leaving a shared list removes your access. Removing CheeWish from a device does not necessarily delete records held in iCloud, and Apple may retain service backups under its policies.

Your choices

You control which lists are shared and whom you invite. You can delete wishes and owned lists, archive or restore lists, leave lists shared with you and change notification access in Apple's settings. Protect your Apple ID and share only with people you trust.

Support and children

If you contact support, we receive only the information you choose to include and use it to answer your request. We will delete the conversation on request unless it must be retained for a legal reason. CheeWish is a general-audience utility and the developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a developer-operated service.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when CheeWish or Apple's supporting services change. The latest version will remain on this page. Use the contact button below for privacy questions, deletion help or support.
